I Drifted Away, But The Winning Spirit Stayed Close

“Why haven’t you written new blog yet? Please don’t stop writing”

It’s a line I often hear from a dear friend – part nudge, part loving scolding. She means it, every single time. She sees what I often miss. She believes in The Winning Spirit, and in me, more than I have allowed myself lately.

Do you have someone like that in your life? Someone who holds your dreams with more clarity and purpose than you do? If yes, hold on to them tight. Hug them. Because hope lives in those little reminders, small messages that shake you out of your comfort zone.

Today, I remembered my friend, and thoughts flowed naturally as I started to write this blog. For me, The Winning Spirit is that one thing I keep circling back to. In my head, I am constantly writing the blog. I am imagining topics, thinking of people I would love to write about. And yet—it took three whole years to actually post something new.

Why so long? Honestly, I don’t have a simple answer. The last few years have been such. But even in the chaos, The Winning Spirit was the north star. Reminding, Whispering:

  • Your thoughts matter. Even if just to one person.
  • Don’t create for likes. Create with a soul.
  • Even small steps count. Especially small steps.
  • Forget perfect timing or perfect grammar. Just keep going.
  • Don’t chase, attract. What’s meant will find you.
  • Progress isn’t always loud. But it’s always worth it.

So here I am again, showing up. Not with a grand comeback post, but with a quiet truth: I never truly left. I was always coming back, dreaming about The Winning Spirit, shaping it in my head.

This platform is my baby. And like babies, it needs some nurturing, warmth, and love – story by story.

To my persistent, hopeful friend, thank you for believing when I paused.

And to you, reading this now, thank you for being here. Tell me: what do you keep coming back to, but haven’t yet begun? Maybe it’s time.

Let’s begin again, together.
